I want to share my experience as a local person to take a bus from Bukittinggi to the Padang's airport.

When i arrived at Jambu Air (the clue is this area provided KFC or shops oultet and ATM). I get the bus and the end destination is Padang. The cost in that time was IDR 25,000. The journey was amazing with good bus. The passanger is not much just 8 persons. 

The trip was not so quickly if compared with private car. But it's ok and really exited. Time is run so quicky when my bus arrived at Duku area. It's take just 3 hours from Jambu Air to Duku. 

The clue is the main juctions for the airports and other destination using the by-pass road. Another clue is a police station under the fly-over on the left side. I must cross the street to the west to take "ojek" in that area. If you do not really familiar, you can ask the bus driver to stop by. Ojek is the person who owned bicycle that transported me to the airport. 

So many bicycles or ojek are standing under the fly-over accross the police station that offering me his service to the airport. I met "Ujang". He asked me, where do you want to go?. I said to the airport. His bicycle is automatic one and run so smoothly to the airport. The cost is less than IDR 10,000 in that time.

Tips.

1. You must asking people when your destinations such as driver or driver assistance.

2. Provided some cash to pay your trip using a bus or ojek.

3. Make sure your luggage is not occupied more spaces.

4. Prepare more time to get the airport. Do not last minute. Because you need to calculate the efficiently time with effectively journey to reach the Padang's airport.

5. You can bargain with ojek. The cost that he asking you is not fix one. Get the best cost. 

6. If you have a tour guide phone number just keep it and note it. Some time you need his help for this case.
