Things to do in Sawahlunto, West Sumatera Indonesia is so amazing. This is the place that i have visited again and again. Sawahlunto is ancient city. The rich resources of coal mining have established by Dutch Colonial or Netherland Indies to explore all of them in to the luxurious items to change the world. I am so admired to see all of the witnesses such as buildings and all infrastructures and activities in that time, the art of the building, and so on. Today, i am really exited to make this journey more comfortable for me. And ofcourse to all of my reader want to know that things to do in Sawahlunto, West Sumatera Indonesia in just one day trip only.

Things To Do in Danau Diatas and Dibawah (Upper Lake or Down Lake)

This is the twin lake in Solok regency West Sumatera Indonesia, the lokal people name them Danau Diatas (Upper Lake)* and Danau Dibawah (Down Lake)*. The location is quite nearly each other. The located of both lakes are totally different, the Danau Diatas is standing beside the main road of Padang-Muara Labuh on the right side and Danau Dibawah is standing at Bukit Sileh, Lembang Jaya sub-district.

Beautiful views, so clearly water, and fisherman boats spread away to catch fish. Danau Singkarak or Singkarak Lake is always become my trip destination while i drive a car to Bukittinggi. I do enjoy all my time to stop by for a while. it takes 45 minutes only from Solok city or just around 70 km from Padang, West Sumtera.

Jembatan Limpapeh - Limpapeh Bridge in Bukittinggi

Jembatan Limpapeh or Limpapeh bridge is another beautiful suspension bridge in Bukittinggi that located around Jalan Ahmad Yani. The functional mostly related to connected between wildlide parks (Bukittinggi zoo) and Fort de Cock. Total long of bridge is 90m and width 3,8m.

Istana Pagaruyung, Istana Baso, Pagaruyung Palace at West Sumatera Indonesia

Pagaruyung is located near Batusangkar, the capital of Tanah Datar Regency, West Sumatera Indonesia. The access to this place really easy and nearly from Padang city. It's take just 45 munites from Padang city. The journey to this area is really amazing. Beautiful scenery of the tropical forests are appear in front of your face, and fresh air atmosphere that you can breath instantly. Before our destination is coming on right side standing the beautiful mercusuar (lighthouse) at bukit lampu. This building was created by dutch colonial era. So, just stop by to take any picture.

Pantai Nirwana Padang

Pantai Nirwana (Nirwana Beach) is other beautiful beach that located around Padang city. To get there just get a drive a car or motorcycle just pass through JL Sutan Syahril and take the Padang-Bengkulu road. It take an hour depend on the traffic. Because, this road is familiar for trucks and other multi-purposes car to bring goods to other place in west Sumatera. But you can handle it with smooth drive. When drive a car running again, you can see the beautiful Teluk Bayur far a way from here that located on right side. The small and huge boat are anchor and moving around of loading or unloading.

What to do in Padang City

Padang city is the gate to proceed West Sumatera as the whole destinations. But, the main city in West Sumatera that you need to explore a couple hours before depart to another place near by. Why?.
